Anthony Joshua prepares to battle Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be shown live on Netflix.
British boxer Anthony Joshua said he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "break" his opponent as the pair confronted each other to publicize the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former two-time world boxing king Joshua meets social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, by the numbers, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami's Kaseya Center on 19 December.
Fighter's Mentality
"I plan to break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove my superiority," Joshua, 35, said.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I intend to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's my intention."
Respectful Exchange
In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Paul - normally famous for his showmanship - were respectful and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead attacked ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.
Taking Aim at Fury
Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, criticized UK opponent Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"Jake Paul outshines Fury - he showed up," Joshua stated.
"I acknowledge that."
Legitimate Fighter
Despite saying he intends to damage his opponent, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a credible opponent," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mainly boxed mixed martial artists or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.
He lost to Briton Fury in last year.
Commercial Attraction
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's biggest financial successes, frequently receiving massive earnings.
Forecast and Confidence
The 28-year-old predicted a knockout win in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the long-awaited match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the match is really happening.
